Fernando Colunga Ultimate Experience, death ’n’ roll band from Požarevac (Serbia), released a new single titled “La Usurpadora” on October 31st 2019. This trio has, because of the large interest awakened among fans of (not only) metal music from Mexico mainly due to their name, left their self-proclaimed hiatus and continued their work. Song Inhale My Misery was published during July this year, completely different in style than anything the band has recorded during their first three active years and La Usurpadora presents a continuation of that change and experiment of a kind with death ‘n’ roll sound.
Although the title of the song is in Spanish, the lyrics are in English and are inspired by the Latino soap opera of the same name, very popular in the Balkans region. Band fans from Mexico have suggested many times that one of the titles should be connected to that telenovela, so the band decided to fulfill their wish.
As far as technical details go, for the music, arrangements and production the crew was as follows: Stefan Milenković (guitar; ex-Transfer Blama, ex-Pripjat) and Marko Živković (bass guitar and drum programming; CounterIgnition, Čvrge). The lyrics are written by Antonio Jovanović, who is also a vocalist in the band.
Recording of all instruments and vocals was done at the “Inferno” studio in Požarevac. Mix and mastering are the handwork of Aleksandar Krculj and were done at “Maverick” studio from Kovin (Serbia).
Cover for the single was created by Predrag Petrović.
